In our podcasting lesson, our group recorded an interview-style episode discussing our most anticipated movies of 2023. We had previously learned about the podcasting process, from planning to editing. As the host, I led the conversation while the other three classmates shared their excitement for the upcoming films. We researched the movies beforehand and came up with interesting facts to keep the conversation engaging. But most of the talking was freestyled which resulted in some funny moments. After recording, we edited the podcast in Adobe Audition to make it sound polished.
Reflection
This lesson taught me valuable skills in hosting interviews and how to plan them out beforehand. I also took in a lot of the setup, and how the cable management was handled. We also experienced the difficulty of static noise. My microphone was making a hizzing noise, which we manged to edit out after.
In order to make the podcast more professional we could’ve added an intro and an outro to the recording. And lastly produced coverart for the podcast.
